This review is part of a Yelp Elite event. Dr. T is a neighborhood gem that I must've driven or walked past many times but did not know of its existence. Thank you @Yelp and @Sarah for introducing what may be a new addiction. If you've ever traveled to Asia you know how good Boba can be. And on the west side, unless you brave the Sawtelle chaos, you have few delicious boba tea options. Thomas is a wonderful host and is very knowledgeable of all things you'd expect of a good doctor. He helped us navigate options for drinks - I prefer it less sweet and with non-diary - and the Jasmine tea was perfect, with plenty of boba. My 4 year old decided to get taro tea, which doesn't have caffeine, with real milk and monk fruit to sweeten it. Thank you Dr T and Yelp for the 20% discount to elites. Since the famed Ube was sold out, Thomas mentioned they were busy that Sunday, I opted for the keto cheesecake that was delicious. Rocco's is a Santa Monica institution that partners with Dr T. The keto version was light, with no dairy, flour or sugar. Almost cookie like, it satiates you in a great way without the guilt, esp. since we were heading next to Japantown for some mochi. Very delightful experience and really appreciate the store attendant who has been so passionate in trying to get me knowing more about their business, their menu and where they source the ingredients from. It’s always exciting to know bit more about the stories behind what you’re enjoying. The venue’s pretty busy with people hanging out and working/studying and I could easily see that happening as they did offer plentiful selection of nibbles both sweet and savory as well as tons of drinks to pick from. I got the chance to enjoy their Ube Leche Flan, which was actually from Rocco Cheesecake, which I knew before but thought has been gone so felt so excited able to enjoy it again. I loved the right sweetness level and dense creamy cheesecake. The Old Fashioned milk tea was my pick, which was close to Taiwanese milk tea. It’s a light and refreshing cup, also picking soy milk substitute let the tea flavor stood out more.

I often come here cuz I especially love the matcha latte! I’m from Japan, and I think the matcha here is the best!! My favorite is Matcha latte and Lavender oat latte:) The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Dr. T House did not disappoint! We tried the passionfruit mango tea, Thai milk tea, and the popcorn chicken, and everything was phenomenal. The drinks were super flavorful and refreshing, and the Thai milk tea had the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess with almond milk and cold foam. The popcorn chicken was crispy, well seasoned, and honestly one of the best snacks to go with boba. Great spot if you’re craving tasty drinks and good bites. I’ll definitely be coming back!

An awesome, delicious, cozy Boba spot in Santa Monica. It’s located in a small shopping center so there is a little bit of free parking attached. Otherwise it’ll be street parking. Inside is really homely, and I especially appreciate the cat merch, all of the plants which are available to purchase, and they even have board games and coloring books that you can use while you’re in there. The guy behind the counter was also very polite and everything that we ordered was ready very fast. They have a lot of great menu options and everything that we ordered was very good. I opted for the Brown Sugar Boba and loved it. The Boba was very fresh, chewy, but not overly so, and it had really great flavors. I love that this place does not use the cheaper syrup that some other places use. Overall, I would comfortably recommend this place to anyone searching for some good Boba.
